HUD's Good Neighbor Next Door Discount Program

The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development has a program called Good Neighbor Next Door. This is for law enforcement officers, preschool through high school teachers, and firefighters/emergency technicians. HUD offers a discount of 50% off the list price for homes that qualify. In return, the buyer must agree to live in the property for at least 36 months as his primary residence.
